You're not overweight, you're at risk.

I'm 15 and 5'2, 34 waist, 142 pounds. I'm just past the at risk level, and I'm overweight because of my age.

But, I have a lot of muscle, because I'm a dancer. (leg and abs)

Anyway, a good start is, start switching to juices and milk. Then add in more green tea, milk, & water. A pop is okay every now and then.

Don't eat as large portions. Stay away from sweets. It's hard, but just remember, you're better than that and it's not the last oppertunity to eat that brownie or cookie.

When you watch TV, stretch you muscles, when a commercial comes, jog in place or in a circle, then when the shows back, stretch (it burns more calories than just sitting there, and helps prevent pulling a muscle), then next commercial, jumping jacks, then stretch, next commercial sit ups, and just different things. Try doing the exersice for the entire commercial. You may not get it at first, but you will eventually!

If your family eats fast food a lot like mine, try getting grilled chicken wraps with all the veggies, or a salad. There usually a few healthy things on the menu! And get water or unsweet tea instead of pop. (I get lemonade)

Read the articles I provided for more information.

    Good luck!
