A question for liberals, atheists, gays?

Ok, first of all, animals can't "consent" to anything. Can a horse say or write, "Yes, I will marry you"? So, that dispatches the bestiality argument.

As for polygamy and incest, i personally don't understand WHY anyone would want to be a polygamist or engage in incestuous behavior. HOWEVER, I believe that polygamy and incest would be acceptable under the following conditions:

1) all people in the relationship are adults (18 and over)

2)the relationship is NON abusive (most incestuous/pedophilia relationships are abusive)

3)if all people in the relationship are consenting, and

4)for incestuous relationships, they do not have children (because clearly, that is knowingly producing a child that has a very high likelihood of having a birth defect, which is not fair for the child)

As long as these conditions are met, then I don't see why we shouldn't allow these people live as they want and have happy lives, just because we may personally disagree with their lives. Under these conditions, polygamy and incest do NOT in any way detract from my own relationship, or make my marriage less meaningful/valuable. Allowing them to marry will not "use up" marriage licenses and their being married has literally no impact on how i live. In fact, I probably will not ever meet an incestuous couple or polygamist at any point in my life. Therefore, assuming the aforementioned conditions are met, I have absolutely no reason to oppose them. I wouldn't support them, but I wouldn't try to stop them. Same for you. You don't have to support gay marriage, but you shouldn't oppose it.

So there. GO GAY MARRIAGE!!!

(ps. the aforementioned conditions should apply to ALL types of relationships, heterosexual ones too!)

I am not opposed to polygamy or polyamory, but I am opposed to incest and bestiality. The reason being that while people in an incestuous relationship may consent, they run the risk of causing genetic mutations. I guess if they can't procreate then that is not an issue but I still personally am grossed out by it. And animals cannot give consent so beastiality is out.

the reason we don't like it is because the same people who practice polygamy, pour millions of dollars into funding campaigns to ban same sex marriage.

and i could ask you the same thing, are you for bestiality and polygamy? why is it fair for you to have opposite sex marriage if they cant marry there dog?
