Strange movie--early 90's, I think.?

I remember seeing this movie when I was a little kid (early 90's) and in it, a little boy stabs his mother to death with a pair of large gold scissors. I think it was set around 1910s or 1920s. Any idea what it was called? Thanks!

    I think it might be Dead Again (1991)

    It has a boy that killed a woman by using scissors, it wasn't his mother though.

    Only movie I can think of with large gold scissors and stabbing death.....is the movie OBSESSION.....with Cliff Robertson and a young John Lithgow.

    After a fight and brutal betrayal........Cliff plunges a pair of large gold office scissors into John's heart.

    That's all I got. sorry. from the 70's, I believe too.
