I think most tales had a moral to their agenda in the olden times. Teaching these principles you speak about with stories and fables so children would understand them. Like Goldilocks, dont go into strange ppl homes and eat their food...or LR Riding Hood, dont go into strange forests alone, or the Troll under the bridge...ppl hiding to get u so dont go there. Just another way to tell kids they arent allowed there and if they go this is what will happen. All these concepts stem from how to tell kids about good, bad, right or wrong. Ironically, all these tales have come true. Now days u cant let your child play in the front yard for fear of a pedifile creeping around..dont let your kid go into a woods alone because of a pervert...and for Gods sake dont let them go to a home they dont know because of another pervert. Its strange that we used to think these stories were just goofy but not anymore.
