Outlander Book 7 - Actress to play Claire?
Diana Gabaldon did it and Book 7 is complete and on presale for Sept 22. I wish she had finished it in time for the beach!
It seems they are making a movie out of book 1 - The Outlander. The lead actor is supposed to be Gerard Butler.
Who would be your ideal Claire? I think Liv Tyler would do great. She looks both old and young and would give it depth.

I think that although beautiful Liv Tyler is too girly. I was thinking Kate Beckinsale or even Keira Knightly. They are beautiful and a bit more rugged.

I think Carla Gugino would be perfect for Claire. I saw her in Night at Museum and she is perfect. She has the right look, all she need is the accent. This actress would be able to pull of the 'young' and 'old' claire too!

I do like the Kate Beckinsale one. I read that she is a top academic as well. That would seal the deal for me.
If they put the one from Titanic in, I won't watch the movie.
If they put Cate Blanchette in, I'll pay double - but, you would lose the younger audience.
