I think it's harder for men to be alone, so makes even more sense now...

Statistically, married couples live longer than unmarried individuals.

Since humans are social creatures, the vast majority are better off married, and typically humans are happier when they have someone close with whom to share their life.

I don't think being male or female has much to do with it...

all i know is that i would much rather wake up to a loving husband by my side, than to a cold bedside and another lonely day.
