MPs who resign will cost taxpayers £1m?
Not only have they been robbing the country blind by frauding their own system but now they get a juicy big pay out for resigning WTF???? if that was anyone else they would be arrested under suspicion of fraud. Didn't they con enough money out the tax payer already for duck ponds and housing and employing their own families? It's like "thanks for robbing our tax payers blind heres a juicy big pension and payout". They should get nothing and be treated like the criminals they are. I'm SICK OF BEING in the UK and if i could I'd be on the first plane out of here

I really do agree, I honestly do, and I hope things are going to change and put a stop to all this gravy train and snouts in the trough business. It's very negative to everyone's morale right now, especially to millions of hard working families, and many that have lost their jobs.

I agree with you. They are very lucky they can afford to just resign when the going gets tough. I couldn't!!! I think I would respect these MP's more if they faced up to their actions not just walked out. What annoys me the most is they all say they have not broken any rules - no, but did not one of them ever think "this is immoral" or "I shouldn't be doing this when so many workers are being made redundant"
I too am sick of living in the UK. We are so lucky in comparison to some poor countries of the world, but our government is making a mess of it and running the country into the ground.

Have you noticed that they're all going to resign at the next General Election and thus ensure that they get their bonuses and pensions. If they feel so guilty why don't they resign now?
You just can't drag them out of that trough can you?

Mandelson resigned twice over dodgy dealings in the past, 1st time over dodgy mortgage, 2nd time dodgy passports, and got the pay off both times. When they lose the next election he will get it again. He will probably receive more money in compensation then most people will earn in a lifetime.

The sum total of the MPs expense claims pales by comparison to benefit fraud. Get some perspective on this will you, the feckless of this country have cost us Billions not just a couple of Million.

Stephen Fry has it right though. Yes, it is wrong, but probably, with all that temptation, and everyone else around you doing it, you know you'd have made at least one dodgy claim yourself.
It doesn't make it anymore right though.

Corruption. They do not have us in mind. We are their serfs and have to do their bidding or suffer the consequences. Vote them out and never forget. How we vote now will determine the future for our kids. I do not want them to live like this.

They're accountable to us, and we haven't been managing them well enough, or holding them accountable.
