I think that there is mass confusion about what types of mammals and animals consist of and since everyone is determined to put MAN in the category with the apes, then they do so by grouping them with the animal kingdom. So my answer is; man may be loneliest by his own accord and animals are never lonely unless a human has abandoned one.

man is a contractual animal. Obviously we are not lonely. Loneliness is a winning strategy for damaged people that desire companionship without a clear contract or return obligation. It's a pity me and become my friend. Which is a con-game that both parties are playing. One person needs to be pitied, the other needs to pity others in order to find value in themselves.

well thats a very interesting argument you have there~! perhaps so i mean all other animals can easily find a mate. But remember they don't really feel the love when they mate or are together but unlike us we do so i would actually say we are the unloneliest animal ever because we feel emotions at a greater impact than them

No way to measure that, but I have heard many a lonely sound come out animals, but maybe that's me sympathizing with what I know, not what I know of them. Man's superior comprehensive mind may make him quicker to feel lonely, not more of it.
