Playing Left 4 Dead on 2 separate Xbox 360s?

I am still new to xbox and how it works. Can left 4 dead be installed on the hard drive of one machine and the disc be used to play on another? My friend wants her husband to play with us (without the annoying split screen) but they don't want to buy another disc.

When you install a game to your hard drive, you still need the disk to play it. Once you start up the game it makes sure the disk is in the drive before it loads from the hard drive(basically so people can't do what you are trying to do).

That will not work, as you need the disc to read it off the xbox.

No. You need a physical copy of the game in each 360 to prove that you own them. You cannot piggyback off of one game disk. If it were possible, no one would actually buy the games themselves.
