Heaven is a place where lions lay down with lambs,

it is a place where the love of god wipes every tear,

it is a place where jesus is your prize and you can never be bored of that,

it is a place where if you picture the most lovley and enjoyable place even that would fall sooooo short,

it is a place where god is the light and his light provides warmth and unconditional love,

it is a place where the colors are so lovley and the music is so beutiful,

it is a place where if the angels where to blindfold and plug up a mans ears he would still be able tell he was in heaven because he could feel god's love,

Or at least, that's the basic Idea of the christian heaven

Heaven, in relation to our current level of evolution, is the 4th dimension. We, third dimensional beings, see the world in 2-D, yet 4th dimensional beings see the world on 3-D. Imagine seeing all the sides of a 3-D object at once!

There seem to be at least 3 concepts in the Bible:

    the royal court of God where He has his throne;

The bosom of Abraham where Lazarus, who was poor in life, went to turn the tables on the man who was rich in life; and

The new Jerusalem in Revelation for those chosen to live forever.

Apart from these, the concept might have been influenced by the lands of the dead in ancient Greek religion.

There are some clues in the Bible about what it will be like. For example, there won't be any sex:

Luke 20:34-36 - Jesus replied, "The people of this age marry and are given in marriage. But those who are considered worthy of taking part in that age and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage, and they can no longer die; for they are like the angels. They are God's children, since they are children of the resurrection...."

And you can make war according to Revelation 12:7, "And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back."

There's a description of the new Jerusalem in Revelation 21:10-27, so we don't have to guess:

(One of the seven angels) showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west. The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, its gates and its walls. The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia in length, and as wide and high as it is long. He measured its wall and it was 144 cubits thick, by man's measurement, which the angel was using. The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of pure gold, like transparent glass. I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendour into it. On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.

I suppose you mean spiritual heaven.

My religion states that Heaven is the place where we go when we die. Heaven contains a volcano that spews nice cold beer, and there is a stripper factory (guys and girls).

Hell is practically the same, except the beer is warm and stale and the strippers have STDs.

A book of verses underneath the bough,

A jug of wine, a loaf of bread, and thou,

Beside me, singing in the wilderness,

And wilderness is paradise. . .

Of course, by "thou" I don't mean you. I mean my beloved.
