Do you remember the vents in the old cars?
I remember when I was young the cars had vents in the windows in the front seat. What ever happened to those? Why don't they make them anymore? How would I get some for my car? I sure wish one of the car manufacturers would bring them back.

Yeah window vents were great, I wish they still put them in cars. The only way you'll get them is to buy an older car that has them. The last cars I've ever seen them on were some limited edition Town Cars, Crown Vics and Grand Marquis in the late 80's. I've seen a couple of 1990, 1991 Vics with them but nothing beyond that.

They went away with streamlining and AC. Couldn't put in curved glass with those "wing" windows. Also the wind noise was reduced by getting rid of them. That's one of the things I really like about my old Mustangs though. Roll the window down crank that wing vent all the way around and let the breeze cool you. I can't stand to drive with the window down on modern cars. Without the vent the wind beats you to death.

Not unless you buy an old car that has them. They were great though weren't they? I have a 1986 GMC pick up truck that has them and I love them.
