If i'm in a divorce because my wife cheated, and I've since gotten a girlfriend, am I committing adultery?
My wife cheated, we've been separated for a while now. The divorce is in July. I don't have a sexual relationship with my girlfriend or anything, and we've only been together about a week. Am I committing adultery?
I mean mostly in the 10 commandments/bible way. Is it adultery? Am I angering God?

If you're not in a sexual relationship, then of course you're not. But, even if you were, in my opinion the marriage was over the minute she cheated...from then on, you were free to find someone else.

Yes, you are committing adultery, you are involved with someone and still legally married. The other people that answered the question basically said it isn't adultery because it isn't sexual, but these are the same women that would scream their husband's are cheating on them emotionally. Its the exact same thing. Not coming down on you, just answering your question. Since the divorce proceedings are already taking place and will be finalized in July I say don't worry about it.

Yes. I am sorry to say. I wanted to do the same thing, as my husband does not treat me well. I do not believe in remarriage, and any friendships would turn into something else.
The Bible allowed polyamy, but I do not think Yahweh (Hebrew name 'I AM") desired this. Remember Jacob was deceived by Laban.
Actually, the law of Moses did allow a male to send a woman out because of infidelity, so honestly, I don't know if you are committing adultery.
Why don't you pray about it? Because you are a man, you may be ok. I am not sure.

Not as per the Law.
There is in fact no law of adultery against you, Unless your girlfriend is a wife of another man.
In such a case, only if that man files a case u/s 497 IPC against you, then you'll be held guilty.
On the other hand, if you marry the other girl while still not divorced (officially) form the first wife, then she can file a bigamy case against you.
Hope this much legal perspective helps you.

You are not angering God he forgives. You are however breaking a commandment in a way by getting a divorce.
