Should I Fight The "Violation"?

Question: Why is the Right accused of trying to control a

woman's body when we really only care what you do to the child?

Deleted Answer:

Your argument is still a thinly veiled 'justification' for interfering into another person's rights and their decisions, as well as imposing your own definition of when life begins. Bottom line... True support of personal responsibility means accepting other people's right to make choices that differ from the choices you might make for yourself.

Update:

Otto.. you're right, that's what I got on first appeal... I'm just mad I get a violation notice for this answer, yet someone calls me "dumb as a box of rocks in an answer and their answer stands.

You were probably violated because you really didn't answer the question, you commented on the argument. My guess is that there were added details to the question which would probably make it a violation, but when you address such a question, you must must specifically address the question, then make your comment.

The classic troll example is "Where can I get an abortion in Dallas?". Now all the pro-lifers will try to talk the person out of the abortion and of course they never will actually answer the question. All those answers would be violations.

In your case, you did something similar. The purpose of the question may have been just to violate such answers. Creating a "setup" question like that is not against the rules, if the question is legit under the rules.

it's something juvenile that trolls do. I understand Y!A would need so much time and effort to find out who is a troll and which post was violation of terms or not, but at least they can make it more logical since the current system and its rules can simply result in losing their real, good members and instead it grows trolls. I'm almost new, been a member since Jan 2009 but at times I have decided to leave it. the only reason that keeps me in Y!A is the good friends I've found here, and I hardly check the others' posts which is not good but to prevent suspension of my account, I have to.

Violations aren't actually looked at by a real flesh-and-blood person unless you protest the violation. I see nothing prurient or disrespectful in the deleted answer you have presented above. Name-calling is the standard reaction of those who have "no other leg to stand on".

Pressing the "violation button" just lets the Yahoo! software remove the question or answer until a real person gets a chance to check it out.

I didn't read the details, because they really don't matter.

What I've found, is that when I appeal violations my account gets suspended. It really doesn't seem to matter if I'm right or wrong (or if I win or lose the appeal). When I fly under the radar, my accounts seem to last a LOT longer......even when they get lots of violations.

Two days ago I got 6 violations on just one day. I almost thought it was my Birthday. LOL...Yahoo is useless. Do complain once but don't spend all your time on it. Y/A sux;-P

No because you just get the generic response of that it was a violation.

you know how it goes in the politics section. racism, inciting murder of heads of states, sexism and homophobia are acceptable. intelligence is however not. i got 3 pointless violations the other day. all from conservatives having a cry because i showed them their intolerance.

No, never "should" on yourself .

In the big picture , why give you power away by allowing anyone to cause you to be "mad" ?

Real questions are never answered and most are suppressed.

When we outsource “truth”, nothing is gained.
