How much do I charge for a t-shirt design?

I'm just trying to figure out how much is a fair price to ask for when any of the designs that I submit are use. Also, should I draw up a contract for when we reach an agreement? Thanks for any advice.

depends how much your customer can afford to pay...

designing is an artistic effort were no valuation is accurate.

hence depend how famous you are, or to go back to the first line how desperate is your customer to obtain your design and not how desperate you are to sell it to him.

for sure a contract is advisable, if we are talking hundred of thousands of dollars, and don't forget that contracts do cost money (lawyers fees , etc....)

    good luck mate.
