    Some companies have direct purchase plans so yes you can buy some. No load mutual funds can also be purchased without a broker. Here is a link where you can search for direct purchase stocks.

    NO. The closest you can get is online DMA (Direct Market Access) but you have to be signed up to a brokers account. Otherwise how would the settlement take place?

    Maybe if you were a large institution you could trade OTC via an MTF (Multilateral Trading Facility) rather than an RM (Recognised Market). The rules seem to constantly changing especially under MiFID but, as I say you still have to get the settlement done.

    yes, using online brokerage. think sogotrade is best among all online brokerages. You can get a lot of free trades: about 100 free trades with 500 minimum deposits. It has very good customer services, it also has live help, and you can chat with representatives about any question. After that, only 3 dollar for each trade, pretty sweet when compared with other online brokerages. no hidden fee whatsoever
