I believe Obama will need to start taking a Q from Richie Daley in Chicago who makes it a practice to start leasing things off. Things like airports, toll bridges, parking meters, lotteries, etc. This way, Daley is able to generate large amounts of cash, giving little thought to the revenue lost for the next generation of Chicagoans.

Obama might start working on a much larger scale. We owe so much to the Chinese, he might start selling off larger assets, like Hawaii as an example. Or maybe he should start out smaller, like selling off Guam. Or maybe he should sell China our defense pact with Tawain.

See, there's always two ways to skin the cat !

You left out who the perpetrators were, but probably no. Bush got America in a lot of debt, but since America is a country and not an object, it can't be bought. No matter how hard the Chinese try, they can't buy America.

Started long ago when the manufacturing jobs went overseas and the bosses built homes in Dubai.

No one can buy. Even China is entering a recession, and the Russians have barely enough money to keep their main highways functional.
