Can I connect two laptops using a wireless connection?
I would like to send images wireless through two laptops (one two the other). Can this be done if there is no wireless provider in the area and how would I set it up? Much thanks!

I have a set-up like that, with 3 netbooks wirelessly connected to 1 main computer. It's what's called an Ad-Hoc network.
Each computer is running Windows XP, and I chose to create a new Ad-Hoc network. I installed a small HTTP server (I recommend HFS since it supports uploading as well as downloading) on the main computer and then each connected netbook can send/receive files using a preferred web browser.
HFS download page is here - http://www.rejetto.com/hfs/?f=dl

get a wireless router
Set up the wireless on both machines
set up file sharing on both machines
share files
It's the same as wired Ethernet - there is no magic. You are just using radio instead of cables
Just as with a wired system, you will have a local intranet - but no INTERNET without an ISP

No you can't
Get a wireless internet connection then you can send them from on to another through the wireless router

how far apart? if within 100 feet or so a wireless router will do the trick, then just enable file & network sharing in windows

You would need a wireless router and then need to set up networking between them.

You have to set both wireless to "ad-hoc" mode, then they will see each other's wireless signal.
File sharing is dependent on which OS you have, XP or Vista or other...
