    Open Mozilla Firefox:

    Go to - Tools>Options

    Click the advanced tab

In the "system defaults" section click "check now" for systems default browser. Mozilla will tell you that its not the default browser and ask you if you want to change it, click YES.

Outlook should now open links with Mozilla Firefox.

You need to make firefox your default browser. you do this from the firefox toolbar. Go to Tools>Options>Advanced and select the General tab. there is a tickbox there.

Microsoft links do not seem to recognise Firefox, you have to open them in IE.

It's OK, because you can have Firefox and IE both open simultaneously.

Ignore the other ways of doing it, they are telling you how to change your home page.

You don't change it. You just download it.

Then just stop using IE. Do not remove it, it's still required for certain jobs.
