  • Single parent to one child - advice?

I am a single parent to a 10 year old boy.

I work full time and he sees his dad every other weekend.

I had my son when I was young, none of my friends have kids, or the more distant friends have babies.

Although I have good friends and family I feel very alone, find it hard to have the motivation to think of things for me and my son to do when I am off work and constantly worry that he is not socialising with children of his ages. Feel stuck and wanted some advice on how to get out of this. I don't know any of the mums at the school as I work and no one I know has children of the same age....

  • Scavenger Hunt ideas in Birmingham?

Hi, as a team building exercise we are organising a scavenger hunt.

I would like some inspiration for items and things the teams have to do whilst on this hunt, and where possible they need to be able to blag/convince people to do things.

    Any ideas?

  • Herbal Remedies for PMS/PMT?

I never thought I had PMT but more recently I have noticed how depressed I am feeling and emotional.

I started thinking that I was becoming seriously depressed and then realised that I only felt bad for 1.5 - 1 weeks prior to my period starting and then I felt much better.

I would really like to try a herbal remedy rather than going to the doctor - can anyone suggest anything good.

Please note - I am not allergic to anything but I am trying for a baby with my husband so don't want to take anything that might affect this.

    Thanks

  • Access rights for my ex husband?

My ex husband left me and my son 5 years ago, since then we have decided to move back to where my family are for a better support network which is 160 miles away from where my husband lives. He is now trying to cut the costs of my maintenance (nothing formally agreed with this) as he has to travel. I have now decided that I think we need to make things official so if we were to take it to court would I have to meet him half way with regards to travel or would he need to pick his son up??

  • Pregnancy symptoms have gone?

I am aprrox 8/9 weeks pregnant - had an early scan due to bleeding a week ago but was told that everything was ok and they found a heartbeat. However, my symptoms have stopped over the last couple of days - someone told me that if i took a pregnancy test it would tell me if I still was prgnant or if the baby had died - but i thought that your HGC (?) levels would still be high enough either way?

  • How to set up a cafe/coffee shop?

I have worked in catering previously, have a great passion for food, baking and drink.

I keep talking about it and now I have decided to take the plunge and actually do it - I want to open my own cafe/coffee shop.

Can anyone give me any pointers on how to start - what qualifications do I need, how do I find a venue, how do I do forecasts etc etc,

    thanks!
