How can I make friends?
I moved to Maidstone about 6 years ago to live with my then boyfriend - made friends with lots of his friends but since we split up they have all dissapeared!
I have a son and a new partner but I am finding it hard to make new friends. It was easy when I was younger but now seems harder!! Does anyone have any ideas on what i can do?

Meet other parents through your son's play groups or pre-school/school. Try organising or joining a coffee group or play group etc. You might find you have a lot in common with women there and it can be easy to build a friendship casually as you can see them frequently through your children. Become friendly with your new partner's friends. Try and forge close friendships with a few of them so that if a break-up does occur, they won't all leave you behind. Keep smiling and be a kind person and you will make friends!! Good luck!!

That's a pretty simple question. Just be yourself. That's all I can say. You might think it's harder now because you have a kid, but it really isn't. You're just preoccupied more. Try asking your partner to take care of your son once in a while. Relax, have fun, be yourself! Be up beat :]. That's pretty much all the advice I can give you. If you do that, everything will eventually fall into place :].
Hope I helped some! ;D

Pluck up the courage to ask some acquaintances(mates but not freinds yet) to go somewhere fun like a theme park... something you all enjoy once your there just let yourself go and because your having fun you'll get to know them whilst joking around thats always a good way to make freinds. Show them that your not all shy but you can be fun and outgoing when you want to.
Hope i helped :)

Yeah... it's a bit different when you get older, I went to hobby clubs such as life drawing, photography groups and acting classes. Bit weird at first, but after a while you'll begin to enjoy it. good luck
