how to scrub a bathtub ie- bathtub?

how to get your bath-tub sparkling white , and get rid of all the dirty marks etc. this question was asked several weeks ago and there were quite a few useful answers , but i failed to make notes . thanks in advance for all your clean replies . Leon

i recall when someone else asked this question , there were several answers which included very hot water and also laundry detergent

    hi...either comet or ajax will work. i clean homes for a living. just make sure the tub and the cloth are VERY wet. this way no matter what the tub is made out of, it wont scratch it.

    Soap scum & hard water spots on the tub and shower stall? Soak a sponge in full strength vinegar, wipe, let stand for five minutes then rinse with clean water. Water spots on sliding shower doors disappear after cleaning with half water and half vinegar solution.

    depends on whether the tub is fiberglass or cast iron w/enamel. Good old comet is a great scrubbing cleaner. If it is fiberglass, I have used the Magic Eraser with great results.
