When you read a book do you try to finish it quick?
I'm the kind of person that when i get a new book i want to read it all that day. I hate the thought of going to bed without knowing the end. Being a speed reader makes it a little bit easier for me, but i was wondering if I'm the only one who does this?
i usually end it reading the book a second or third time lol

I'm the same way. But once I've finished the book, I'll go back and take my time to read it again and really savor all the details.

I am a speed reader too, but reading all the day is not very common for me. Probably the reason is that I have so many different activities that are already planned in my day that there is no time to read the whole day. I may read for 2 or 3 hours, but usually not for longer periods.

For me, it depends on the book. If it's a book I really like, I WANT to finish it the first day, but I also want to stretch it out so I can read it for a longer time. If it's some sort of project I have to do, I try to read it as fast as possible and get it over with. Sometimes I get too into the story and forget that I need to stretch it out and then I finish it in one day. :)

I often find myself reading so fast that I end up skipping over whole paragraphs on accident. I'm impatient - I want to know what happens in the climax and at the end! Usually I read books rather quickly, but I miss a few details.

You miss alot as a speed reader. I like to read as much as I can....but not a speedreader...I don't HAVE to finish it in a day or two.
There are those books we just can't put down and I find myself reading at work...hiding my book under the papers on my desk.
Shhhhhhhh....

no i dont read fast. i take my time a savoir it. if its any good of course. i know what you mean that you dont want to stop reading. many nights ive only gotten an hour or two sleep cause i had to know the end. a lot of the books i read, if you go fast, you miss details, and then you dont get the whole picture. and you dont get all the author is trying to portray to you.
