is there any other way to get my volume mixer up it won't appear when I try clicking on the icon?

I have sound from headphones but not the speakers even though my system says everything is working OK No matter what I try I can't get the sound mixer to come up on my screen any suggestions?

OK THANKS I get sound from both jacks in headphones but not speakers so I reckon I gotta spriing for some new speakers thanks again for your help

    first try taking out the headphones and seein if you get sounds just with your speakers, im guessing your speakers and headphones have the same kind of jack, so if there is a jack solely for the use of headphones than try plugging your speakers into that jack just to see if they work , if it does than cool, then try plugging your headphones into the jack that you would normally put the speakers in , if it doesnt work , than the problem is the speakers.

    but if you are using the same jack for both and just the headphones work , than that points to a speaker problem and not headphones.

    also you might wanna go to control panel find your sound driver and mess with it a little and see what it does

    go to start--programs--accessories--entertainment--volume control

    this will bring up the volume mixer..
