Printer not printing bottom border of MS Word file?
I got a HP deskjet printer. I'm printing a file from MS Word. The bottom border dose not get printed. The page contains header and footer. I tried changing the bottom border's distance from margin but dose not work. I've tried it on another printer too. so its not a printer problem. Can any1 help me out ASAP?
Ty.
It is not a printer problem as i mentioned earlier, i had done it on a cannon too. Both have the same result.
And my printer comes with Edge printing. So it can reach the very bottom edge, i have done it alot of times. But this is some setting on word tat's creating this problem.

under page setup, there is a page size setting, this MUST match the printer setup and paper.
A4 is a diff size to letter paper, and can cause problems if documents are set to wrong size

Many HP printers I'm sorry to say cannot print anything below 1/2 inch from the bottom of the page. Check out the print margin information for the Deskjet 530 on this page: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docnam...
What I suggest that you do is adjust your border settings on Microsoft word. I know you say you already tried to change the distance from the bottom of the page but that most likely won't help ( Word only lets you go up to a distance of 31 pt, less than 1/2 inch). Go to where you changed the distance again and you will see a setting that says "Measure From" Change that setting to "Text" and then adjust the border distances from the edges of your text on the page.
If that doesn't work you may need to buy another printer. I bought a printer (HP) that had a large bottom print margin like this and took it back the same day and got a printer that can print borderless. I don't think they should even make printers with such large margins!

I'm guessing that you set your border outside the print area for your printer. Most printers can print to within .3 or .25 inches of the edge of the page, but not beyond that. If you're closer than, say, .4 inches to the bottom of the page, try bring it up a bit. That should do the trick.

Change your page setup and set it to custom print. Then add a 1/4" or 1/2" to the layout. Then print the same document just to see if it goes further HP are terrible for the footer. THeir is always a 1/2" which you can't print.

Paper Size did it for me. In Windows 8.1, I went to the Page Layout tab, then Size, then more sizes and altered height DOW until it all fits and you can see it fits in the print preview pane.
