Queer as Folk. And its kind of kewl because i actually have the same name as Randy Harrison's character Justin his last name was Taylor as well on the show. But anyways i love Debbie too because she is the mother that every gay would like to have. So i highly recommend QAF USA version.

As an English man Id have to say the UK version, not out of nationalism but out of principle. If the American version is anything like the American red Dwarf or the American Office it needs to be renamed.
If your going to watch both, watch the UK version first then watch the remake and play spot the difference :)

Haven't seen the one from the UK. I've seen ALL of the ones from the US. And that's the one I'm going to get when I get some money. Besides the English have a lot of words that are different from the US. Might get the wrong meaning in translation.

I never saw the UK version (I don't think it was ever shown on BBC America, and if it was it was probably before I got that channel).
The US version really turned me off at first, because I felt as if I were watching porn for the first few episodes. But then they toned down the sex and focused more on the stories and it became a rather good show (not as good as it could have been, but good).

I dont think you can really compare the two. They were created at different times and for different audiences.
The original (UK) was ground breaking, gritty and more real. (But perhaps thats because I'm British)
The American one was slicker, sexier, but perhaps a bit too fictional. the American version was also considerably longer!

USA of course

The UK one was by far superior.
The US version was incredibly whiney; I can't stand it.

Neither. Unless you want to watch a world where everyone is gay, and everyone they meet in every single circumstance turns out to be gay.
Stupid show. Pity.
