Rhythm or Rhythmn with a silent N?

When I was in primary school I distinctly remember being taught that the word rhythm had a silent N on the end,and that it was, in fact, rhythmn.

I cannot find any history on this at all - was the N dropped? Was there never an N in the first place and my teacher was just wrong? Does anyone else remember spelling rhythm with a silent N?

It's " rhythm." There is no letter "n" in that word.

It's definitely rhythm. Never heard of the silent n on the end...
