Wow, the lady at Meijer didn't want to grab plants out of water, that's great!!!
Most aquarium plants require special lighting to live and thrive, however there are several plants that will do fine with minimal lighting exposure. Java moss, java fern, anubias, hornowrt, and water sprite a few plants that do well with low lighting. Java moss and hornwort don't seem to need any type of extra lighting to thrive. When you go out to buy plants, research them as you would your fish before purchase.

I would suggest getting moneywort because it oxygenates the tank, keeps the ammonia levels under control and is good for the diet and shelter of many fish (baby and adult).
It sounds like you have a lot lot of fish in that tank by the way, it should be a bg tank maybe of 30+ gallons because otherwise the water will foul up because of the fish' waste and they will get each other because there isn't enough space for all of them!
Hope this helps!

Silk flowers will advance algae on them, as will different plastic flowers. i've got continuously basically used a small electric powered toothbrush with actually no cleansing recommendations by any ability. It won't get all the stains out, in spite of the undeniable fact that it will lead them to seem lots extra suitable. i does no longer advise applying something with bleach or cleansing soap. the single time i attempted applying cleansing soap to scrub a tumbler tank, i concept i could rinsed all of it out, and all my fish ended up death besides. that is basically very nearly impossible to get bleach and/or cleansing soap out of all the creavices. once you're having an algae concern, there are distinctive recommendations you ought to purchase at puppy shops to eliminate it.
