Is science found evidence of life after death?
If scientists, doing there tests somehow found evidence that consciousness survives bodily death, would you accept that fact that you'll continue after death? What would you think?

If science found evidence of life after death...they would only be proving what many have already believed by faith. But the Question is good and I hope they do soon...It would be helpful to many who are facing that very event. And it would greatly assist them in some very important decisions. As I'm sure it would you and I.
Good Question.

I dont know how they would find evidence. Once the brain dies the body is dead, and any illusions or near death experience are the residual neurons still firing. If there was tangible 100% evidence than yea what can you do, but it would no more make me believe there is a God(s) because that is a whole other sack of potatoes. Proving there is a consciousness after life does not equal a higher power so in the end more research would have to be done, and all in all would not change my mind about being an atheist.

If scientists found verifiable evidence than I would accept it. However, non ever have. And as for "You should be asking a doctor or nurse. They see death daily. The majority of them, will tell you yes. " do you believe if you say something it's true or if a particular group of people have an opinion it becomes fact? Also, where are your valid statistics to back up this statement?

I wrote something on this that I found from my Bible. I have also written the existence of hell, and some others. People are more than welcome to come browse through my answers for info.
I believe the Bible. I should start by explaining WHY, but it is rather long, if you are serious I have written something of in.
Here goes what the Bible states about death.
I believe in the Bible and the Bible states that when you die you die..
The Bible states that the dead no not anything. (psalm. 115:17 psalm 6:5, 88:10-12)
"His breath goeth forth, he returneth to the earth; in that very day his thoughts perish." (Psalm 146:4)
"For the living know that they will die, but the dead know not anything." (Ecclesiastes 9:5, first part)
"The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence." (Psalm 115:17)
"Marvel not at this for the hour is coming in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation." (John 5:28,29)
"But I would not have you be ignorant, brethren concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope." (1thessalonians 4:13)
"Let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulcher is with us unto this day..... For David is NOT YET ascended into the Heavens." (Acts 2:29, 34 first part, emphasis added.
Death and sleep are used interchangeably; read John 11:11-14.
The Bible also states that death is a sleep.. I.e. Lazarus, and the little girl.. If we have the seed of Jesus inside of us then we sleep in the grave until he comes to take us home.. He is so wonderful.. He knew that we would not like heaven if we had to go right when we died.. How aweful it would be to see our loved ones suffering on earth while we were in paradise.. When Jesus comes back the trumpet will sound and the dead in Christ shall rise first. (1thessalonians 4:6).. Then mother and daughter father and son.. Brother and sister will all be caught up in the air together and spend eternity with no more pain or sorrow.. For God says.."For they shall hunger no more nor shall they thirst... And God shall wipe away ALL tears from their eyes." (Revelation 7:16,17)
Amen.. I thank God for the rest that he has promised to give us, that we might find joy when we die.
Look up in Strong's concordance the words SLEEP, ASLEEP, DEATH, DEAD

If scientists found solid evidence of life after death, yes; I would have no choice but to believe. Facts Don't Lie!!!! You should try them sometime.
An atheist

There are quite a few out-of-body experiences where people see very distant objects. Many times entire groups of people have seen a particular ghost or spirit, and it's something much more detailed than a shadow on the wall. Some kids have even had memories of previous lives. This hasn't been proven in a scientific experiment, but it's still evidence of sorts.

Well for one there is no "facts" to disprove god or life after death so how do atheist answer to that?
When people have NDE's their brains are sometimes dead so they can't hallucinate like what atheist will say. If the brain has no oxygen then the brain wave is flat and therefor you can't have illusions.
I like to believe in an afterlife because you can't disprove it can you?
Source(s): I find atheist's just as annoying as religious wackjob bigots. - 1 decade ago
Well if that was the case I would like to hear what people who have died have to say about the after life.

I have no problem with accepting things supported by evidence.

Not all "paranormal" is nonsense. Science will catch up someday. At one time scientists rejected the idea of germs too, because they couldn't see them.
