Who told Gingrich and Limbaugh to flip-flop on their support of Sotomayor?

Both have changed their tune and say they "might" support her now. Who is back there in the shadows, calling the shots?

Update:

Some of these answers show how Republicans are great spin-masters. When Limbaugh or Gingrich change their mind and indicate they "might" support anything the President wants, they are following somebody's orders!

Gingrich made the switch when he began to realize that if he does run in 2012, it would be nice to have some Hispanics on board with it. They won't be, but he still tries.

Limbaugh is just being a jerk. He realizes that the Republicans cannot win this fight; and so he is setting things up so that when Democrats win the nomination battle, he can say he was on the winning side and that it would not be the winning side had it not been for him.

And that the Democrats are still racist; but Rush amazingly "turned their plans around on them."

His audience believes him on these kinds of things; and really, as they are where his money comes from, aren't his actions the actions of a true Capitalist?

He'll gladly sell out any principle, or made-up ethical code, in exchange for more money.

Along with the pro-life thing Rush said, it'd be a very good idea for the GOP to not isolate themselves from the Latino vote. That's precisely what they don't need if they're planning on turning the country around after The Great One is done wrecking it.

Limbaugh said he'd support her if he knew she was pro-life. He suspects she might be. That is entirely in keeping with his positions on issues so far, so I see no one in the shadows.

Watch how fast Planned Parenthood pulls their already stated support for her.

Rush said he might support Sotomayor even though she is a racist IF he can be convinced she is pro-life.

Why did Obama flip-flop on taxing health care benefits?

    She's pro-life.

... and word is that she most likely can be encouraged by the other justices to join them in overturning Roe v. Wade.

if you pay attention, thats' not what actually was said. even if you don't pay attention, which seems to be the case, that's not exactly what was said either. she's still a racist, sexist, ignorant, activist.
