Would you recommend the Ipod touch?

I used to have an Ipod Video (5th Gen) and I love.love.loved it. Needless to say I was heartbroken when the hard drive crashed on me and I've been lost without my Ipod for weeks now.

So I'm saving up my money to get a new Ipod and I've had my eye on the Ipod Touch. I'm wondering what people's reviews are and how does the Touch compare to the regular Ipod Video. Is it worth hawkin' over that extra cash?

Any advice/reviews/feedback would help. Especially those from folks who used to have any other ipod and now currently have an Ipod touch.

I would reccomend it if you are going to use the extra features and if the capacity is big enough. I had a 80GB iPod Classic (iPod video like yours) and i had my eye on the iPod touch so i bought the 16gb iPod touch 2G

it was great for a few weeks then the novelty wore off evantually and i ended up only using it for listening to music which i could easily have done on my iPod classic.

The other thing is the capacity isnt big enough for me anyway i had to delete some of my music in order to compensate for the reduced memory. If you dont have loads of music then i would reccomend it IF you are going to use the other features like wifi internet, applications etc...

The Ipod touch is really fun for games and videos. I think it is very reliable and really fun to have. If you only use an Ipod for listening at night or driving in the car, and not really play with it, than the touch is not for you. But if you play with it and love to play games than it is great for you. Scratching does happen on the Ipod touch, but you can prevent that by buying a plastic cover for it. It's nothing serious though.

I think that if you play with your Ipod, than the touch is for you. If you use it for strictly listening to music, than its a waste of money. Other than that, it is fun and reliable, and it hasn't seemed to have any problems so far. And I've had mine for quite a while and I love it.

    Yes I would.

The video screen is big compare to the old iPod you had. An most important of all, it is a high resolution screen. You can see a lot of details when viewed upclose.

It is MUCH MUCH MUCH more than your old iPod. You can use it to surf the internet when you can find a WiFi hot-spot, e.g. at Starbucks coffee. Or you can use its calendar tool to organize your day's activity. There are thousands of free applications and games you can download on it to make it a very versatile computing device.

Source(s): I use an iPhone. It is almost the same as the iPod touch except for the telephone service fee.

    I have the ipod touch.

I've never had any other ones so I can't compare.

But to be honest I would've rather gotten one of the other ones because i don't use a lot of the features that the itouch offers.

I just use it to listen to music and thats it. Although I sometimes use the youtube feature. But I'm happy with it.

Source(s): an ex-bf bought it for me.

yes.the ipod touch is pretty stunning.

apart from touch screen, which all new phones now seem to have. it can store plenty of music plus games. The game are pretty awesome. You just have to tilt the ipod to move, neat huh? it definitely worth the extra cash.

it a improvement to the ipod nano and cheaper than the iphone

    Well, I liked it.

I got all these songs, but they soon got kinda out of date so I deleted them. Though I didn't stop using my touch. There's so many apps that I enjoyed downloading for free and using them straight away.

I didn't regret buying my Ipod Touch,

I recommend you a HD Video Converter which can convert HD TS, HD MTS, HD M2TS, HD MPEG, HD WMV, HD MPG, HD MP4, QuickTime HD MOV, HD H.264, HD RM video, etc. It also can edit the HD movies, such as CUT a video clip, crop the movie, merge several files into one file and so on. Hope it helps!
