Can u dye dark brown hair blonde or close to it just using Loreal excellence HiColor 4 dark hair?

Ive dyed my hair pleanty of times and have been thinking about dying my hair blonde for a while now. Today i went to a salon to try to get my hair blonde and the lady said they would have to bleach my hair twice then glaze it and dye it which would cost me over $200.00!!! Ive used loreal hicolor b4 to dye my hair red and brown so i just wanted to know if its possible to dye hair dark-reddish brown hair to dirty blonde without bleaching it? My hair is very healthy and i dont want to damage my hair at all!!! Thanks

since you have previously colored your hair you cannot get it blonde using color. color cannot lighten through color. you'll need to use bleach. you definitely should get it done at a salon, results are unpredictable when you use bleach and the toner you'll need is entirely dependent on what color you are able to get to with the bleach. at a salon, they will have anything necessary to correct it to a color that you'll be happy with.

oh, and NO blonde dye has bleach in it! bleach and color are 2 completely different chemicals!! you can get blonde hair using dye but only on virgin hair, hair that hasn't been colored already.

Hair that is darker than light brown (Level 5) will need to be Bleached or Pre-Lightened to get to blonde. I would suggest a trip to a Professional at this point. However, if she wishes to tackle this herself I would suggest a good Blue-Based Oil Bleach Or Lightener (NOT 'Stripper' or Haircolor Remover). After getting the hair to the light yellow stage without any orange or red remaining, deep condition the hair with a good Protein Pak or Treatment. Dry the hair thoroughly and apply a good hair colorant in a CHAMPAGNE or BEIGE Tone. At this point an 'ASH' color may be too drab and look Grayish, Blueish, or Greenish if not, an 'Ash' shade may be used for retouch. Hope This Helps. Good-Luck!!

    Hi,

I have natural dark brown hair and went blonde myself for a while. Personally I wouldn't do it at home with L'oreal. You could easily end up with that yucky orange blonde effect. It is expensive to go blonde in salons but the upkeep of staying blonde when you will get dark regrowth is really expensive so just take that into consideration. If you really want to do it at home I'd go to a big chain store hairdresser and buy their professional products. They are much stronger so they achieve a much better result from experience.

Anyway hope that helps, good luck and hope it turns out great !

No. All blonde haircolor has a bleach form in it. And if you have a red tint in your hair, using a boxed at home blonde will turn it an orangey brown. I did that once. It was AWFUL!!! I'd go to the salon if you really really want blonde hair. Cause if you do it at home and it turns orange, you'll pay that much if not more to get it fixed :(

    no you cannot

    dont even try it lol

    my hair was brown and

my friends mum dyed all my hair for me and it went a really ugly orange colur and it waz loreal and it ended up costing me $300 at the hairdresseers to get it fixed up dont try it and it will reck your hair

if you make a mistake and your hair will be dry and gross

buy blonde bleach and dye your hair its much safer

That really depends on the individual, some people can easily color there hair Blonde and seem very nice, the same with Black. It all truly depends on your current skin tone

I was born with blonde hair so i think i actually look fine thats the way i was born

  • it is possible if you use box dye.

it would turn out like a blonde color mixed with the redish brown though

You can't get your hair blonde unless you use bleach. Color doesn't lift color.
