What is considered an executive golf course and a regular 9 hole course par 35 considered a par3 executive?

Any executive golf course I've seen has always been a par 3 golf course consisting of all 9, par 3 holes. A par 35 or 36 course would be a regular course. You are right.

You're almost right. A par 3 course is all par 3's. An executive course typically doesn't have par 5 holes so the par won't always be 35 or 36. I played an executive course today that was par 32. A regular 9 hole course has par 5's.

An executive course is comprised of many par-3s plus a small number of par-4s and sometimes even par-5s so that it is much shorter and has a much lower par than a regular course yet affords the player an opportunity to utilize all of the skills required on a traditional 18 hole course. An executive course is designed to be played quickly by the player who does not have a lot of time (a business executive sneaking out for some quick golf, for instance).
