Has anyone seen autoerotic asphixiation actually spelled out directly in any David Carridine death news story?

I found this story which states the following:

All the media outlets are afraid of lawsuits because its an "alleged" theory but I think we all know that is what happened. It may be good to not publish it for fear that people that have never heard of it would try it? Just an idea

No. The closest I've seen was "a rope around his neck and body", but according to the comments on the article, it previously said "a rope around his neck and genitals" and was changed.

Whatever. When you're that badass, it must be hard to get your thrills. No judging. Just wish he'd been more careful :(

Yeah, I read in the NY times that a police officer who investigated the scene had said there was a rope around his neck and "other body parts."

I think the media is alluding to it, but they're tiptoeing around the subject.

its all speculation about it but i think soon there going to have to look into this as a cause of death must think the general public came off the banana boat

Generally I would assume that if you are hanging yourself you do not bother to attach a rope to that place.
