4^x=17

how do you solve for t

e^-0.8t=0.90

    If you meant 2x/(3 - 1) = 7/x 2x/(3 - 1) = 7/x 2x×x = 7×2 2x^2 = 14 x^2 = 7 x = ±√7 so x = 2.64575 or -2.64575 Or did u mean 2x/3 - 1 = 7/x 2x/3 - 1 = 7/x x(2x/3 - 1) = 7 2x^2/3 - x = 7 x^2 - 3x/2 = 21/2 (x - 3/4)^2 = 21/2 + 9/16 (x - 3/4)^2 = 168/16 + 9/16 (x - 3/4)^2 = 17716 x - 3/4 = ±√(177/16) x = 3/4 ± √(177/16) so x = 4.07603 or -2.57603 Hope this helps you. *βω*

    1. Take log on both sides; log4^x=log17

    This equates to xlog4=log17

    This means x=log17/log4

    Calculate log 17 and log 4 to get the answer (you can use your calculator for this)

    2. Take log on both sides

    log.e^-0.8t=log0.90

    -0.8tloge=log0.90

    t=log0.90/loge.(-0.8)

    Remember, loge=1

    t=log0.90/(-0.8)

    calculate log0.90 (you can use your calculator for this)and get value of t

    3. take log on both sides giving you

    log3.3^x=log76; this means

    xlog3.3=log76

    x=log76/log3.3

    Calculate log76 and log 3.3 to get the value of x (you can use your calculator for this)

    take log/ln both sides and you get the ans

    4^x=17

    xln4 = ln17

    x = ln17/ln4

    do the same for the next 2 questions

    These problems are pretty basic.

    x = log(17)/log(4)

    -.8t = ln(.9)

    t = -ln(.9)/.8

    x = log(76)/log(3.3)

    Take out your calculator, and enter carefully. Pay attention to parentheses.

    1. you just have to find what power of 4 will get you to 17. its between ^2 or ^3

    (do that for 3 too)

    idk how to solve the 2nd one

    Use a scientific calculator that can do logs, this isn't possible in-your-head or by hand.
