I want to learn Computer Programming is it to late to start?
I am 60 years of age have knowledge of the basics of computers such as internet and search and knowing how to maintain the pc for best performance. But I want to learn and mind you I am a late bloomer wanting to suddenly learn programming. Is it to late to start and also I am a very late bummer in wanting to learn HTML and XHTML is it too late for this subject also? One another question, which should I learn first HTML and XHTML or the Beginning Programming course?

You're never to old to learn something new. In fact, learning new things is one of the best ways to help stay sharp.
Basic HTML is pretty straightforward -- it's a markup language, not a programming language -- and I'd suggest just jumping in and playing around with it a bit. Maybe start here:
and try making some simple web pages of your own (you just need a browser and a simple text editor to start).
For beginning programming, to get your feet wet maybe look here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/beginner/default.a...
Or, go to the web sites for some language like Python or Ruby and download the installer and read some tutorials to get started.

XHTML and HTML are web coding.
If you want to learn how to make websites, ya thats a great place to start.
But if were to learn XHTML learn HTML first then learn XML.
Once you learn those two, learn XHTML.

I went back to college at forty and discovered I had learned a lot more about math in my years out then I realized. And math is important to programming.
I met one guy with a math degree who got it at 87.

its never too late to learn. I'll be a college senior this fall and I can tell you, I'll seen people in some of my classes old enough to be my grandparents (No Lie!)
