what do you think about the sheraton waikiki hotel in Oahu?

The Sheraton is nice. It is not a 5 star like Halekulani, nor is it beautiful and romantic like the Moana, it is just a nice Sheraton hotel. You can have good ocean views from there and it is conveniently located. The Hano Hano room is a good place to go for cocktails and music.
I prefer the Moana (it used to be the Sheraton Moana but I don't know if it still is owned by them)
but I would stay at the sheraton Waikiki especially if with kids.

Great central location in Waikiki if you want to have a "tourist" visit to Honolulu. Hanohano Room has excellent brunch - the hotel is a bit older but the rooms were probably renovated within the last 5 years. If you're going to stay in Waikiki, I would personally select the Halekulani for a 5 star experience. Or if you want to keep "loyalty SPG points" stay at the Royal Hawaiian -Beautiful "old Hawaii" hotel!
