ball back spiders? Black Widow?

I found a spider in my garage that had a ball back just like a black widow spider. I didn't see any prominent red on it though, so are there other spiders with ball backs?

Also, are all black widows poisonous? and what should you do if you find a black widow?

Many species of spiders...the spider you found could depend on the surroundings of your house and where you live. But whatever kind it is, be careful.

The adolescent and male black widow spider is harmless; leaving the female as the only one that is venomous, more venomous than a rattlesnake.

If you do find one...it's best to either kill it ( with something thick) object), leave it alone or have someone to help remove it somewhere else.

    1. Yes, there are several species. If there is no red on the underbelly, it's not a black widow.

    2. Yes, all black widows are poisonous.

    3. Pick the spider up in a jar or something, and relocate it to an unpopulated area. Kill it only as a last resort.

Most cobweb spiders have a similar shape as the widows,

    and some are even black.

all of the Latrodectus genus are medically significant.

    (black widow, redback, katipo etc)

with the exception of the redback, all widows have the traditional

'hourglass' mark on the bottom of the abdomen.

If the spider is not in an inconvenient location I just ignore them.

I have a couple in my shop now, and they are never a problem.

Just knowing they are there, will prevent bites.

I do not think that moth balls paintings on spiders. I've not ever noticeable any proof of that. I've used moth balls for different matters and nonetheless get spiders. The moth balls will, nonetheless, aggravate puppy and cat noses so I would not desire them round a lot.
