How does the GTS work in Pokemon Platinum?

Once someone trades, it tells you when you first connect to the GTS.

It works the same as in Diamond and Pearl. But no you don't get notified. You just log in and you'll know when some one has traded because it will say "checking status of GTS" or somethig like it, but it will take a lot longer than if you don't have anything traded. Then if you do have a trade, the pokemon you asked for is downloaded to your DS.

no you have to check once in a while...

also do not try to give a dsutox for like a legendary.....everyone does that...they put their dumbest pokemons and ask for legendaries...

just make sure the pokemon your giving is equal to the pokemon you want.

i have a bunch of feebas so i evolve them and ask for snorlax or eevees because milotics are pretty raree.

so check every once in a while! another thing, leave a pokemon at night and come back next morning, it should be traded, cause night here is day everywhere else...like japan.

You have to wait for a while. It may take a day. The next time you go on GTS, it will automatically trade and you can see it.

It's exactly the same as Diamond and Pearl, when you get on GTS or Geonet, it will alert you when the trade was completed.
