  • Sims 3 : Events keep popping up!?

I have been playing the Sims 3 for a few days now, and everything has been going fine, until today. I got a call on my cell to visit a neighbor, so I did. Since then, I have been getting them to interact with me, even when I'm home by myself. It keeps interrupting the things I'm trying to do, making it impossible to cook, play games, etc. Is there any fix to this? I've tried rebooting the game, going to that sims house and then leaving again, but I still keep getting the event that he's inviting me in, or his wife is talking to me. Help!

  • Weight loss: Where do I start?

I have been getting bigger over the years, and I'd like to lose 64lbs, and I'm ready to make the commitment, knowing full well this will not happen fast. I just don't know where to start! I'm looking for a community online that I can rely on when I'm hitting a rough patch, or somewhere I can be a supporter for others.

My husband and I have been living with his father for a few years now, but we're looking to get our own place now. We have a few places scoped out, and we looked at one and the whole situation was awkward. What exactly am I suppose to do when looking at an apartment? What other questions should I ask?

  • What happens at Planned Parenthood?

I was wondering what all needs to happen to go on birth control from Planned Parenthood. Do they do a regular gyno exam or is it something shorter? Do they poke around down there at all? Do they take urine tests? Do I need to call to make an appointment, or can I just stop in?

  • How can I save my data from a dead laptop?

In October or November, I bought a laptop from walmart (a toshiba Satellite A205-S5000.) Earlier this week, it stopped turning on. I used two different chargers, and nothing. No lights will come on. I asked around and was told it is probably the motherboard. Someone told me that I could take out my hard drive and save the data still. I can put it into a hard drive enclosure. What will my hard drive look like? What size enclosure will I need? Thanks.

  • What are your favorite recipes?

My fiance and I are getting married in just 6 weeks. We're having a rather informal, outdoor wedding and reception in my grandparent's backyard. Rather than asking everyone to bring a dish (which would be insane, considering there will be around 65 people invited) I, and a few helpers, will be making all the dishes. My dad and grandpa are cooking the meat, but I need some suggestions for side dishes and appetizers. No desserts, as they'll need to save room for cake! ;) Thanks!

  • What color flowers for an ivory/champagne dress?

I've always been more of a tomboy, so I need a little advice. My wedding is in September (we just decided this a week ago. My dress is ivory with a champagne ribbon (http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa66/bosquig/dr... It's an outdoor wedding in a backyard, and there won't be many other flowers (if any at all.)

What flowers would look nice? I'm looking for a simple type bouquet? What are your opinions?

  • Cheap bridal/bridesmaids gown in Wisconsin?

My fiance and I decided to have an outdoor wedding. We just decided this weekend, and are planning a September 14th wedding. I'm trying to find a dress, but am having no luck. I'm looking for a tea-length (mid-calf) dress that's white or white with a pale yellow ribbon around the middle. Are there any recommendations for cheap bridal/bridesmaid dresses around Milwaukee or Wisconsin? My future FIL is paying, so I don't want anything outrageous.

  • Legally, can a ULC ordained minister perform a ceremony in Wisconsin?

My fiance are not religious. We were planning on going to the courthouse for our marriage, but wanted our parents there. If we invite our parents, we'd have to invite our siblings (I have four, he has two) and their families. So, for room, we decided we would have an off-site wedding. We were trying to figure out a pastor, but since we don't attend church, we thought we'd get a friend or family member to officiate.

Has anyone gotten a friend or family member ordained through the ULC.org (or .net) and had them legally perform the ceremony? Is it even legal here in Wisconsin? I'm in Milwaukee County. I simply don't understand the legal vocabulary. Thanks.

  • Reason for leaving?

When I worked as a receptionist for almost a year, I was trained to back-up nearly every other position (cashier, supervisor, closing front-end supervisor, administrative assistant, safe manager, and receiving clerk.) I never received a raise, much less a "Thank-you." I put in lots of overtime, worked many 12 hour days, and designed ads, flyers, and displays. I left because I felt like I was being used and didn't get the respect I felt I earned.

When filling out an application, how do I put this into an answer for "Reason for leaving?" without sounding like someone who simply didn't want to do work?

  • What supplies will I need for a large fishtank?

I'm going to be setting up a larger fishtank (25-35 gallon) soon, and am curious as to what I will need to purchase to begin setting up (besides the tank, the gravel, plants.) I have a filter, but seeing as it the tank and some supplies were given to me by an uncle, I'm not sure the shape they're in, or even what to do with them. Any help will be nice!
