What color flowers for an ivory/champagne dress?
I've always been more of a tomboy, so I need a little advice. My wedding is in September (we just decided this a week ago. My dress is ivory with a champagne ribbon (http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa66/bosquig/dr... It's an outdoor wedding in a backyard, and there won't be many other flowers (if any at all.)
What flowers would look nice? I'm looking for a simple type bouquet? What are your opinions?
Well, it's still technically a summer wedding (it's the 14th and fall doesn't start till the 22ndish.) The leaves won't be changed yet (here in WI they don't change until mid October.)
Edit 2: The bridesmaid dresses are also going to be Champagne. The decorations will be in ivory/offwhite and champagne.

My dress is ivory and champagne too, but I'm using terracotta as my flower color;

You can also try a pale pink, or a bouquet of several pale colors;

Use ivory and champagne in a French hand-tie on the bouquet;

Although I'd like the light blue, I don't think that it's a winter color. The Chocolate Brown would be my pick for a variety of reasons: 1) seasonally more pleasing 2) covers bodily flaws much better (HA) 3) would compliment the tones of your wedding gown since you are having Champagne and Ivory, had your dress been White, I'd question my own choice. Also, I agree with some of the others, I don't think white flowers would look right. Best of Luck in your selections!

I had an ivory dress with rum color trim. I had a white bouquet with roses, calla lily and waxed flowers. If you want something simple, then I recommend a bouquet of cala lily tied by hand with a ribbon that matches your champagne ribbon.
My bridesmaids wore burgundy dresses and had red bouquets.

I think red would bring a really nice splash of color. It would pop and go well with the ivory and champagne. There are lots of flowers to chose from, my personal favorites would be tulips. Do tight bouquets with closed tulips. Simple and elegant.

Well, roses are a good choice if you are looking for a simple bouquet - plus they come in lots of colors. I think reds, oranges, and yellows would look nice for a fall wedding. It would be nice to have bright flowers against the ivory dress.

I would say a simple bouquet of deep red roses... they are gorgeous, simple, and make a bold statement. I have an ivory/champagne dress too for my August 16th wedding (in wisconsin too!!) but I am choosing a deep pink/fuschia colored roses.

Oh, yes, bright colors for an outdoor wedding! Chrysanthamums, zinnias in bright fall purples and oranges, and pinks and golds, and reds, as bright as you can make it.
Shades of oranges would be gorgeous, from peach to cantalope to bright orange.
I saw a bouquet of roses in every shade of orange to brown that you can think of, it was truly gorgeous, and that expecially would look great on a champagne dress.

it would be not bad to have a full bunch of scarlet red roses or purely full of white of lily with broad silver bowtie where there still have such kind of flowers in the florist shop.
Or you could pick full bunch of aura lily which might be a bit expensive but if your address is kind modern slim type of dress, this simple round trumpet flower are the most fashionable flower bouqette.
Or if you wouldn't mind spending a lot.... tulips is also kind another selection.
Ps do not choose a lot of varity of different types of flowers as your wedding flower bouqette... which is not much different any flower basket in the resturant. Simple and purely one is the best

congrats on your upcoming wedding!! so exciting!! im getting married in may next year. Since it sounds like you don't want something too girly or over the top, maybe you could do calla lilies or hydrangeas in a dark contrasting color. Green would look really cool with your dress; maybe your bouquet could have a lot of greenery in it.
