Question about Oxygen sensors?

I already posted a rather wordy question under Mitsubishi but I wanted to post one in a more general section. Can someone tell me how many oxygen sensors are in a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero? My daughter is getting an expensive jacking around by a dealership with a "check engine light" problem. Thank You in advance!

Update:

Thanks mrknight, she was charged $2000 before they changed ANY sensors while supposedly fixing the engine check light.

Typically four. Two primarily for fuel trim, before the catalytic converters and two for checking the catalytic converter efficiency (mounted after).

They can be typically $100-$150 each and 0.5 to 1.0 to replace each, not including diagnostic charges.

So, it may seem high, but a $300 bill for diagnostics plus parts and labor to replace just ONE O2 sensor would be fair and typical.
