Saves pictures to desktop, they saved as shortcuts. I cant open them or upload them. Please help!!! 10 POINTS?

i was in a hurry last night and saved the pictures i had on my camera on the desktop. They saved as shortcuts and now i cant open them or anything. it says Finding missing shortcut. How do i get them to the original picture so i can upload them. i deleted them last night off the camera. ): please help.. these pictures are really important to me.

PLEASE HELP ME FIRGURE THIS OUT. how would i get to a recovery mode on my camera??

i deleted them from my CAMERA not my computer.

    right click on a shortcut, then go to properties, find the path then follow it , that will take you to the original location.

    You're camera may have a recovery mode on it so check for that.

    You can try right clicking each icon and then selecting properties

    there will be an area saying Location copy this excluding the location tag into the

    search bar

    on the start menu

    on vista

    If your using XP click the run link and paste it into that on vista don't click enter and it should narrow the folder down on the start menu in XP click enter and it should do the same thing.

    If you have deleted the files check your recycle bin.
