How many here have read e-books?

1. Do you have an e-reader?

2. What do you read them on?

3. Where do you buy/download them? Online libraries like Gutenberg? E-publishers? Fictionwise? Amazon?

Caveats:

1. This isn't about whether e-books or physical books are better. Don't go there.

2. Please don't tell me about your illegal pirate downloads. I'm an author and it ticks me off when people steal books.

Sometimes I'll find books in the public domain from sites like manybooks.net

Main Question: Yes I have in the last year begun reading e-books.

    1) I don't have an e-reader but it is something I'm considering. I'm thinking about a Kindle II.

    2) I read on my computer and laptop. Because most of the e-books I purchase are short stories or novellas I can fit in a few pages every other day without killing my eyeballs. (considering how much I Y!A reading a short is a breeze).

    3) I buy and download from E-publishers. Cerridwen, Echelon, Ravenous Romance, Ellora's Cave and Red Sage. Other times my favorite e-authors post shorts on their websites for free that I print up to read before they switch and put up new stuff.

    1. Have owned 3, still have 2 that I use.

    2. My ebook reading devices. I only read in my computer at work when I am not busy and don't want to get caught ;)

    3. In order of preference: Sony ebook store and epublishers. I don't use Fictionwise (allergic to DRM for non-exclusive formats like PDF or Microsoft Reader).

Source(s): Happy ebook reader since 2003.

I have a Sony prs-505 ebook reader and I love it. I use Gutenberg or manybooks.net for books where the copyright has expired.
