Sims 3 PROBLEM. NEED HELP?

i bought my own copy of the sims3 3 days ago but i just tested it like 4 hours ago in where i experienced a problem in playing.

During the game, the game freezes for about 1 or 2 seconds then the screen turns black, but the mouse pointer is still visible, the game sound is still there. whenever i exit it to the desktop, and launch the system manager. the system manager says that the game doesnt respond. it happened like 3 times while in creating my sim, and 3 times when i moved my sims in the neigborhood. imagine 6 times all in all. i don't know what the problem is. as far as im concern, my laptop meets the sims 3 requirements:

THE SIMS 3 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

PC: Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista

CPU: (XP) 2.0 GHz P4 Processor or equivalent (Vista) 2.4 GHz processor or equivalent

RAM: (XP) 1GB RAM; (Vista) 1.5 GB RAM

HARD DRIVE: 6.1 GB W/ atleast 1 GB

VIDEO: Direct 9.0 compatible

MY LAPTOP"

-Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5500 (1.66 GHz, Mhz FSB, 2MB L2 Lache)

-384MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300 Turbo Cache

-1GB DDRD (JUST ADDED 2GB OF RAM SO ALL IN ALL 3GB)

-120 GB HDD

my laptop was just reformatted last night in preparation of the game.

My copy of game is original

im using vista home premium by the way

So tell me, what seems to be the problem, im really disspointed at how things turned out, i mean.. i've waited this for so long. (we all sims fans did) so please if there's any way you could do to help me. i would really appreciate.

the sims 3 is having trouble running on all vista computers at the moment. hopefully ea will release a patch soon. in the meantime, do you have a computer with xp on it? it should run soundly on that.

    Your Config seems fine.

I have run Sims 3 on i7 machine with no luck and have found that,

Sims 3 will not run on Vista if you have Service Pack 2( remember this a Beta version) installed.

There is no patch at the moment to combat this problem.

Remedy is to uninstall Service Pack 2 or NOT to install it at all yet.

    Hope this helps.
