It really depends on you, and who you have for probation officers. Some probation officers are good people, and can tell the difference between a real criminal and someone the county is just trying to extort money from.

The hard core P.O.s will search all common areas of the house with no regard as to what kind of person you are.

Most of the time it is pretty much routine they ask what you have been up too, and just view what is in plain sight. Most of the time probation officers do not toss your belongings around searching for something to bust you with.

There is nothing specific about it because it will vary from officer to officer and violator to violator.

If you want to stay out of trouble it's actually really really REALLY easy. Don't allow anything illegal into your home, don't associate with known felons or co defendants, don't do anything illegal, follow the guidelines of your probation, if your not suppose to drink DON'T DRINK not even one sip. If you have a curfew, BE HOME ON TIME. Do not carry any kind of weapon even a pocket knife unless it is strictly for work purposes and can be proved as such. ALWAYS be cooperative with law enforcement while your on probation. I don't think you'll have a problem if you do what your suppose to do and avoid the things your suppose to stay away from.

In my area, they ask you to show them around. They ask how things are going at work, and discuss your progress.

There is no standard questions, nor is there any standard pattern or degree of search.
