does general science count towards your AFQT on the asvab?

Ok i know that in the pass general science hasn't been a part of your AFQT score. but i don't see way it wouldn't since science is taught in school all the way up to 12th grade

    No,

    The AFQT uses :

    Word Knowledge (WK),

    Paragraph Comprehension (PC),

    Arithmetic Reasoning (AR),

    Mathematics Knowledge (MK)..

The AFQT just looks at basic intelligence, reading and basic math skills.

But every section of the ASVAB is used when determining your line scores , used to qualify for specific jobs.

    No.

Jeeper has it right. Your math and english skills are used to determine your AFQT. The other lines scores are used to show aptitude in a specific field and have nothing to do with the pass/fail cutoff score.

If it has nothing to do with your AIT, you don't need it. For Me (Air Traffic Control Operations Apprentice), I need English, Math, and Electronics. See, no science. It just depends.
