myspace face book virus question?
a friend just told me that he clicked on a free game software icon of "gone in 60 seconds" and his PC was hijacked and the hijackers wanted cash via credit card to release his PC back to him. My cra p detector went off. Is he fibbing?
He has not asked me to advise him. I ran a google on this type of hijacking and didn't find anything but the actual game "gone in 60 seconds", nothing on hijackings as he described. I wanted to know if it is possible he is telling the truth.

I have discontinued using MySpace because I have had problems with viruses on it.
I doubt that the situation was such that the hijackers wanted cash via credit card to release his PC back to him.
Run an antivirus program and don't use MySpace anymore.
