What is "co-mix-site"?

I am unable to use any links when I am on the internet. I keep getting redirected to different sites by a "co-mix-site". Can someone explain what this is and how to get rid of it?

I acquired this yesterday and seem to have fixed it. First, to avoid the involuntary redirection, block co-mix-site.com from Internet Explorer 7: Tools>Internet Options>Privacy>Sites and enter co-mix-site.com into the blocked sites lists. Now when you click a link from Google, etc it should not redirect you (but it will stay in Google and not actually go to the link you select) *** Second, Download and run Spyware Terminator from CNET's site, www.DOWNLOAD.com All software is checked for virus's and Trojans and is safe -- DO NOT DOWNLOAD OTHER FREE ANTI-SPYWARE SOFTWARE FROM OTHER SITES AS THEY ARE LIKELY INFECTED WITH VIRUS OR TROJANS *** Third, Upgrade to IE 8. It doesn't find it in malicious tools, but it does reset all settings and restores full functionality without redirection. Good Luck!

If you are already on IE8, go back to IE7 hit tools>advanced>reset and then reinstall IE8 and see if that works.

    Ran a traceraout on co-mix-site.com:

Appears the site is being hosted by COREIX in London,UK -- send an email to abuse@coreix.net and advise they are hosting an abusive site that needs to be removed and the owners reported to the proper authorities.

I have exactly the same problem - it is driving me insane!

I just tried the link that the user above me posted, but while it found some viruses it hasn't solved my problem.

youre fine as long as hes not registered as a pit anywhere on his papers 9if there are any i dont have papers on my pit) and as long as he doesnt look like a pit bull. but still just because you might not be included in this ban do your best to keep it from happening. remember where your lovely dog comes from that you love so much. you not fighting for the breed is almost like disowning the fact that he does have pit in him. pit bull owners in the nation depend on other pit owners to fight this bsl bs.

  • What a coincidence, I have it now too! I know why I have it, I have the scam Antivirus 2009...I'm trying to fix my computer right now good luck with yours!

Your computer could be infected with a hijacker. Scan your comp. with the free version of http://superantispyware.com/
