Wild horses in Montana, were to see?

i know this isn't really awnsering your question but i went to Utah and we were in flagstaff ( which is an indian resovation) and there wild horses just grazing on the side of the rode! so you might want to swing by Utah. LOL!!!

P.S there were no fences!!!

I grew up in Northern Montana by the canadian border also.

I think the wild horses would be down closer to wyoming.

I know there are wild horses in nevada and wyoming and the dakotas.

Montana is the wrong place to look for wild horses there are none try looking in Wyoming

Yes, I noticed a small herd of 6. The stallion used to be black (so stereotypical!), and there used to be a chestnut mare with a lovely pink dun foal, and one other mare that used to be bay with a darker bay foal. Cute! There used to be additionally an lovely pony that used to be a distinctive smoky dapple grey pinto with a creamy mane and tail! I grew up there and don't remember any wild horses. Of course, I lived almost on the Canadian border so there may have been some closer to Yellowstone park.
