I love them both for different reasons. They're completely different styles of novels, so I cant put them in the same category and say which one I prefer. HP is better written, but Twilight is so much more personal - if that makes sense. Its more emotional.

i liked them both.
harry potter more probably because its better written and the plots were well thought out. almost everything makes sense. there are only tiny mistakes. and itshonestly a better read. magic, adventure, romance, mystery.its got it all
where as with twilight the great idea was the first book. it followed on into the others but not as well because meyer didn't plan on making the book a saga at first. there are also some plot holes but i still found the books entertaining enough to read.
but i was disappointed by the end of both series to be honest.
i had thought so much of the harry potter books so maybe i was expecting too much. but i thought shed kill off one of the three and i didn't like the layout of it as much as the others. it was still good but not as good as i expected.
however breaking dawn was worse. it had a different feel to the other books. it was forced. the plot didn't work. i hated the build up to a fight that didnt happen. throughout the saga i understood bellas point of view and so i liked her as a character. but i didn't get her in breaking dawn. the sudden need for a child was a bit unrealistic. and even though im team edward i liked jacob. iliked his wit and sarcasm but after he imprinted he was just annoying.
over all harry potter was better. the choice was only made easier by how much i disliked breaking dawn.

Harry Potter beats Twilight any day.

Harry Potter.

Harry Potter pwns Twilight all over.
Those two aren't comparable- Harry Potter is incredibly sacred compared to Twilight.

I don't think Twilight will ever beat Harry Potter's fame. Even now the Twilight fire is burning out, New Moon's trailer was hardly even recognized when it came out, but Harry's even made it onto Aussie television on the news.
And the books are no comparison, J.K is brilliant and there were so many mistakes in Twilight, The editor couldn't even get them all.

Twilight doesn't make any sense so I'd go for Harry Potter. Both movies and books are really great.

I enjoy both series, but Harry Potter is just a bit better, in my opinion. I can read those books any time and start from any point, whereas with Twilight I have to be in certain mood and I have to start from the beginning and read all the way through because I haven't found a "favorite spot" yet. With HP, those places are easily identifiable (which I prefer), but Twilight it's just kind-of an overall enjoyment with no parts that really stand out to me.
